Toneelmakerij tipt: The Mood of Love by United Ukrainian Theater

How long ago were you invited to a magical forest where various miracles and absurd accidents happen? Where those who just a second ago hated each other fall in love, where magical elves and fairies live, and where a group of teenagers rehearses their own performance without noticing the pranks of the magic creatures named Puck and Oberon.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s most popular and widely performed plays. This play is still relevant and funny. Complex plot lines and a variety of characters make this play interesting for both children and adults. The musical solution, stylish costumes, and stage design provide aesthetic pleasure.

Stichting United Ukrainian Theatre

After the success of the joint projects Go Fuck yourself rocket and Manifesto of Survivors. The United Ukrainian Theatre, AJTS and Toneelmakerij have once again joined forces to create a new project. The acting laboratory under the leadership of director Yasha Gudzenko worked on the creation of this project for six months. Among the large number of applicants, 14 talented Ukrainian teenagers were selected who became participants in this project.

For many participants, this is their third joint project, and for some, it will be their acting debut. The goal of the laboratory is not only to create a performance, but also to create a strong theatrical educational program during which Ukrainian youth will gain skills, knowledge, and practice in acting, which will allow them to further collaborate with the United Ukrainian Theatre and join the professional cast.
